It is no easy task taking a billet of raw material and turning it into a precision component with an accuracy of ± .0005”, but that is exactly what we do at Gibbz Arms. Nearly ninety percent of our firearms are manufactured in-house, meaning we have full and immediate control of the precision, quality, and fit of nearly every component of our build. Most of the credit belongs to GHT Services and the remarkable expertise of Gyle Thornhill. Gyle brings over five decades of aerospace and deep-water machining to the forefront of firearms manufacturing. Without breaching current confidentiality agreements, suffice it to say that GHT is the trusted shop for underwater components that require tolerances withing ten-thousandths of an inch. To give you some perspective, that is like splitting a strand of human hair fifteen times. Needless to say, this level of precision and exactness well exceeds the industry standard, making Gibbz firearms the most precisely built firearm on the planet.

That may seem like a bold claim, but Gibbz standards of precision exceed the MIL-SPEC requirements in every case. MIL-SPEC standards are designed by the Defense Logistical Agency for the express purpose of testing and certifying components intended for military service. Generally speaking, the MIL-SPEC requirements for machined defensive components is within ± .001” tolerance. At Gibbz, our tolerances go to ± .0005”. Our novel mounting and fixturing allow our billets to be centered vertically and horizontally thereby increasing our accuracy and fit. We take custom extruded bars of 6061-T6 aluminum and mill, drill, tap, ream, and grind, the material to a minimum of  ± .002″ and in many cases  ± .0005”. We utilize a dedicated team of hand finishers to debur and finish each component. Every edge is broken, holes chamfered, bodies buffed, and then it’s all tumbled and bead blasted. Our pursuit of perfection drives our processes and standards, making our components the most precise components on the market.
